IN CIVITATEM SANCTAM (IN THE HOLY CITY)

O city of gems; my love and desire!
Abode for all dreams to wed deep trance
Hail me with palms atop your white ships
aglow in rose bulbs lit by the chants
of lords born pure so hearts win grace.
Array your glad halls with herbs to thaw
the ice in hope when darts fell swans
and ash sinks lands that once blazed fair.

THE DRYAD QUEEN

I bathe my brow in lakes of scent
and gaze on maids who glide from oaks
to serve the queen in rites most blest.
Their veils of lace coil round my feet
A globe wings love; it bears me to light
where the grand court signs a chaste faun
with sweet gold sap shed by wood kings.
The mystic queen prays; her words are bells
A pearl key falls; its rose chain locks
to gild my neck and grant deep wants
that I will rest when shorn of peace
amid the fond chants earth gifts for joy.

BEAUTIFUL SUSSEX

O hark the lyre; that chime of bells
when pure souls glide to strew their gifts
and pink Downs bask in scents of grace.
As wings brush earth gold crowns spark flames
blest by High Will to waltz the skies
for man born rich in God's mystic array.
O hail sweet loves we thaw your trance
bow at our kiss,” the fire voice calls.
Light sears iron bonds; black shades howl past
Their lash is mute; no storm stirs blood.

THE LUNA TREE

On pine robed paths a glass shoe winks
and Mena falls rapt as elves blind stars.
The wood lord weeps; it wilts her swoon
his holy smoke brims from ivy clad fonts
its musky haze trails to luna tree groves.
the elven fruits rise and dye her mouth
their tangy juice sprays red halos of light
so Mena's heart flows with royal elf blood
and soaks in grace to see death scythed.

TO THE ANCIENT MELODIES

O holy muse haste and steal my soul
lead me in love on arcs of jade
so I may gaze at high fauns blest
who strum the harp to craft deep code.
A red mist veils runes honed in jet
I clasp my sage; he bids me kiss
the lofty art tinged with rims of gilt.
'O hark glad news; a lamp bears pax'
the pure words ring for God's own Son.

HYMN TO THE GRAND POWER

O grand Power blaze in glory of thrones
and raise kingly hosts long veiled by time
to hush frayed lives with rose tipped rest.
High vision sail swift; rain your fair beams
O fond guide smile where truth casts gems.
Come holy dove chant when ice chills hope
bear the saved hearts draped in mauve silk
to angel boats moored on shores of lace.
